BOSQUE

The national park’s Bosque area is known for its picturesque lakes, native forests, and stunning views of the distinctive granite peaks known as Torres del Paine. Grey Lake is another iconic site in the Bosque area. It’s a favorite destination to admire icebergs floating in the lake’s eerily grey waters. The blue hue of the ice is an awe-inspiring sight.

CONSERVATION RESERVE

The Torres del Paine Conservation Reserve is on the northeastern side of the Torres del Paine National Park. ENCUENTRO

The Encuentro area of Torres del Paine National Park is home to some of its most impressive hikes and overlooks. This is where you’ll find the turquoise waters of Lake Nordenskjöld and some of the most impressive views of the Paine range. The area is known for its numerous lakes, lagoons, the winding Paine River, and abundant wildlife.

Take the Mirador Condor hike along the shoreline of Pehoé Lake to a summit with 360-degree views of the national park. Or, admire Paine Grande’s hanging glaciers on the Nordenskjöld exploration. Torres del Paine National Park’s Encuentro area invites advanced hikers to pursue unforgettable views of Almirante Nieto and the Paine Horns. Our guides are eager to introduce you to Encuentro’s lenga and ñirre forests, -looking turquoise waterways, and Toro Lake. GLACIAR

The Glaciar area offers some of the most impressive hiking in Torres del Paine National Park. Explorers cross Lake Pehoé on a catamaran to the Paine Grande refuge where granite peaks and glaciers are abundant. You can also embark on a portion of the iconic “W” trek in Patagonia, a challenging Torres del Paine hike taking four to five days to complete. Hiking trails in this area lead explorers to Grey Lake, a suspension bridge across the Francés River, and overlooks with postcard-worthy views. You can admire icebergs, Grey Glacier, the Southern Ice Fields, and granite peaks.

The knowledgeable Explora guides are eager to cross Lake Pehoé with you, pointing out the Glaciar area’s most interesting sights along the way.
