Desert & Altiplano, Chile
One of the most beautiful trips I have ever made! They know how to treat clients, how to be a 5 stars hotel! Every penny was worth it! I would go back again and again! And hope to go to another explora hotel and experience somewhere else!View more
Atacama is simply stunning- but it was the hospitality and people of Explora that made our trip perfect. Tours (in our case we were the only ones on most of ours), the food (incredible flavors and very unusual) and service were exceptional. We were traveling with a six week old baby and the Explora team went out of their way to make sure we were well loved. Especially big shout out to Maria Jose, Lucy, Makerena in the restaurant and guides Francesca, Fabiola and Nico (on horses). We miss you already!View more
Everything was perfect, from arrival to departure. Friendliness, attention, and great competence. It's definitely worth coming back.
Mário Sérgio's pisco sour, with his elegant mustache, is the best there is.
Activities with a team that knows every part of Atacama, with its fantastic landscapes, unforgettable places, and breathtaking experiences, not because of the altitude, but because of the memories that can be captured and never forgotten.
Excellent staff and gastronomy. The guides are extremely patient and knowledgeable, which makes the experience even better.
Explora suggests an acclimatization program, staggering the tours so that you get used to the altitude and don't get "altitude sickness."
Although I was fine for the first 4 days, I didn't escape altitude sickness and everyone at the hotel was super helpful!
I already knew Explora Torres del Paine, which is also spectacular.
I recommend the entire Explora network! You can go with your eyes closed.
We have been to three different Explora Lodges (Torres del Paine, Rapa Nui, and now Atacama). The only constant is that they are all 5 stars. The facilities are modern, clean, and in extraordinary locations. The staff, from the gardeners to the waiters, the guides, and the host, are friendly, attentive, and above all, seem very happy to work at the lodges.
Being an all-inclusive facility, the extra you pay is well worth the experience. The excursions, on average, are geared towards activity. Hiking, biking, and other activities are always accompanied by expert and safe guides and excellent attention to detail.
We also participated in some tours offered in San Pedro, not by Explora. Explora's excursions avoid tourist crowds as they head to different and sometimes exclusive sites.
We highly recommend looking into this organization and its facilities if you are considering an activity-packed trip to remote South America.
Specialized in serving travelers who want to explore the region and its various biomes. Great guides, well-planned and suitable facilities. Excellent food. Great location (very close to the center of San Pedro de Atacama).View more
The hotel is incredible!! The entire staff is very attentive, especially Diego, Coni, Eduardo, Paola, Cristoban, Fernanda, who provided very special service!!! I think that having this Explora experience spoiled me.View more
Cristobal and the team he leads make the experience unforgettable. They are always worried about the details. We went as a family group and they were always attentive and flexible to each one's different interests. Everyone's warmth makes you feel very comfortable. The food was spectacular!View more
Excellent places and hotel. Many explorations available, from overland to climbing volcanoes for all levels. Excellent food and service. Efficient and friendly staff. Something different and recommendable.
