Equine culture

The Quincho is a typical Patagonia experience available to our travellers from September to April –as weather permits– in which our gauchos prepare a spit-roasted lamb in a privileged location with panoramic views to Torres del Paine.

Incredible stay. Could not recommend more.

Where to begin... What an incredible stay we have just had. The hotel is located right in the heart of Torres del Paine National Park. The view from the hotel is breathtaking. Right from the start the experience is fantastic. Wonderful staff. Beautiful room. Stunning views from every angle. The guides are amazing and help to recommend the right activities for your interests. We did 3 full-day hikes to complete the W. Challenging but well worth it. The landscape is incredible. You're looked after so well. We even had a table cloth and hot soup and coffee with lunch at the top of the mountain! Could not recommend this place more. Well worth the money.

    Heaven on Earth

Our five days at explora Patagonia were fantastic. Even if you were to never leave the hotel it would be worth the trip because the views are beyond compare. But of course, you will leave to hike Torres del Paine right at explora's doorstep. That too is an extraordinary experience. And then each night you will enjoy a good meal and a warm bed so you can do it all over again on a different trail (our faves were French Valley and Gray Glacier). Yes, this place is ridiculously expensive. But you only pass this way once. My best tips: Try to fly into Puerto Natales from Santiago to save a very long drive. Stay no less than five days. Bring layers because you will be hot and cold on the same hike. And really good hiking boots (my wife and I both bought Salomon X Ultra Mid 2 GTX on Amazon and were quite happy with them), And a WATERPROOF outer layer cuz it rains often.

    Amazing Experience

Loved, loved, loved our time at explora. The hotel is luxurious with the best views of the Torres Del Paine mountains right outside your window. The food is great, the service is great, the excursions and guides are awesome. I was especially impressed by how smoothly all the excursions and transfers were executed. Couldn’t have had a better experience. It was the most luxurious way to adventure in Patagonia.

Wonderful property inside the park with all the activities you could hope for

Every afternoon, you get to plan your activities for the next day. Want to hike the "W"? Let them know and they will make it happen. Horse ride? No problem. Half-day or full-day hikes? They have a wide selection each day. Recommend that you go to the BBQ once, the food was good and it was fun to hike in the morning, go to the BBQ, then have another activity before heading back to the room. All the guides are well-trained on flora and fauna and really work to make sure you have a good time.
