Exploring with purpose

How do we explore

For Natural-Born Explorers

Guided by curiosity, we explore to connect and to understand beyond the obvious. For over 30 years, we’ve revealed the beauty of remote territories with intention and purpose, crafting experiences for those who seek meaning in every step.

Crafted Experiences into the Remote

At Explora, every journey is rooted in a deep understanding of place. Our explorations are carefully crafted based on the nature of each territory, its geology, climate, ecosystems, and cultural heritage. From high plateaus and ancient salt flats to deep valleys, glaciers, and fjords, each destination shape the way it is explored.

Whether you’re drawn to an iconic viewpoint away from the crowds, or an advanced hike that ventures into little-traveled trails, you can choose from more than 30 explorations included in your stay.

More Than Guides: Companions in Discovery
Explora guides.

Our guides are not just leaders. They are curious explorers, warm hosts, and passionate guardians of the territory. Trained in our own School of Guides, they are bilingual experts in the territories we explore, with a deep grounding in geology, ecology, wildlife, and local culture—alongside extensive safety and first-aid training.

Each afternoon, you meet with them to review options for the next day according to your interests and activity levels. Group sizes are intentionally small, limited to no more than eight guests to allow for a more personal atmosphere and in-depth discovery.

Classic Explorations: The Icons, Seen with New Eyes

Some places are world-renowned — and rightly so. Our classic explorations bring you to these iconic locations, but through the lens of our expertise. We avoid crowds, seek alternate timings, and follow less-traveled approaches. The result is a deeper, more personal encounter with the places you’ve always dreamed of.

Signature Explorations: Unique and Authentic Experiences

Our signature explorations, designed and operated exclusively by Explora, reveal the deeper layers of each destination. Developed by our own expert team, they follow little-traveled routes and remote trails that no one else offers, reaching landscapes that remain unknown to most.

Crafted for curious travelers, signature explorations give you time to observe, to listen, to notice the smallest details, and to build a lasting connection with each place and its stories.
