Upon arriving at Buenos Aires Airport, you will need to take a connecting flight to El Calafate, which takes approximately three and a half hours. From El Calafate, take a bus or transfer to the Chilean border, about four hours away. Once you reach Cerro Castillo, our team will drive you to Explora Torres del Paine Conservation Reserve. DROP-OFF IN CHILE
We have three departure times from our lodge:
- 10:00 am, and the estimated arrival to Puerto Natales is at 12:00.
DROP-OFF TO ARGENTINA
- Argentinean border with Chile “Cancha Carrera”: Drop-off at noon.
- El Calafate: Departure from Explora Torres del Paine Conservation Reserve at 09:00, arriving at The Calafate at 15:00 according to the timetable.

We offer ground transportation by van between Explora Torres del Paine national Park, Explora Torres del Paine Conservation Reserve, Chile on select days of the week from October to April every year.
Trips between Explora in Torres del Paine Conservation Reserve and El Calafate:
- Private Service:Available on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Advance booking required.
- Shared Service:Available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays for USD 400 per person (minimum 2 people required).
The private service must be booked in advance and availability confirmed with our reservation team.
The trip between Torres del Paine and El Calafate covers 374 km (232 miles) and takes approximately 5-6 hours.
Travel Between Torres del Paine Conservation Reserve and El Chaltén:
- Travelers who combine their stays at Explora Torres del Paine and Explora El Chaltén can make the one-way trip at no additional cost on Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Saturdays.
- The trip between Torres del Paine and El Chaltén is 402 km (250 miles) and takes approximately 8-9 hours.
- Limited spaces.
- The transfer service only includes passenger pick-up and drop-off between hotels in El Calafate, Argentina and Explora Torres del Paine Conservation Reserve, Chile.
