We will start our hike from the lodge, descending towards the Salar while surrounding the peninsula. We will enjoy impressive views of the Tunupa volcano, walk among a great number of cacti and unique rock outcroppings in the area, as well as see flamingos and the K'ajchi Island. Then, we will round the peninsula to climb up the other side and finally return back to the lodge.
We will start our hike from the lodge towards the summit of Cerro Wila Khollu. Along the way, we will come across a Pirwa, an ancient rock shelter used primarily for storing potato crops, as well as archaeological remains. From the summit, we will enjoy a spectacular view of the Tunupa volcano and the Uyuni salt flats. We will return by the same path until we reach the lodge again.
We leave the Ramaditas Mountain Home and head to the Pastos Grandes sector. We will walk through an area with wetlands until reaching impressive hoodoo-like formations, which we will flank until reaching the petroglyphs. We will see many birds, vicuñas and vizcachas, in addition to hoodoo rock formations, yardangs, and petroglyphs.
We leave the Chituca Mountain Home and make our first stop in San Pedro de Quemes to observe the burned town from above. We then move on to the Jawincha Valley, where we will start to hike along an old trail used by local inhabitants. We then go to the cemetery to visit the museum and tombs.
