explora Patagonia has its own stables, located just 15 minutes from the hotel, with specially bred horses for the Patagonian weather and geography.

Equine culture

The Quincho is a typical Patagonia experience available to our travellers from September to April –as weather permits– in which our gauchos prepare a spit-roasted lamb in a privileged location with panoramic views to Torres del Paine.

Quincho experience

explora Patagonia's architecture has received numerous awards, such as the first prize in the Tourism Services category, in the X Bienal de Arquitectura in Santiago, Chile.

Awarded architecture

    Best experience ever!

The luxury of the essential is definitely what best describes the Explora Patagonia. Everything was perfect, the team was always surprising with so many details and warmth and smiles. The tours were perfect, the food amazing and the views! I could have stayed there for weeks! It is the very best experience I had, and I hope to be back very soon, in every season.

    Excellent Patagonia Resort

My wife and I recently spent 6 nights and 5 full days at explora, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. In all respects explora provided high quality service. It began with being picked up in Punta Arenas and being driven to Torres del Paine. All of the hotel personnel were extremely accommodating; our guides each day we’re throughly professional and friendly; the food and restaurant staff were excellent as well. The overall philosophy at explora seems to be, “what can we do to maximize your experience in Patagonia?”

    Comfortable way to experience TdP

We spent 3 nights in mid-April...and during our stay were able to experience all 4 seasons. Great location. Great staff. Daily excursions fantastic...able to choose based on desired level of effort. I did all day hikes, while my wife chose shorter ones. Fantastic horseback riding opportunities. Personable guides with small groups. All-inclusive food and drinks...very good! Round trip transfers included, appreciated due to remote location. Nice lake/riverside spa.... a bit of a walk from hotel. Outdoor hot tubs on the water much appreciated after those long hikes. Very comfortable and clean rooms. Fantastic views everywhere. Definitely not roughing it here! I would highly recommend for active people looking for a comfortable way to experience TdP up close, and for those looking to meet like-minded travelers from around the world.

    An Amazing Adventure!

Explora Patagonia exceeded our expectations in every way possible. The personalized service, experienced guides, exceptional customer care and service, fabulous food and great bar are only a few of the areas where we were so well taken care of we will plan to return. In addition, we had a problem with the front tire of our rental car, and the Explora team not only put air in the tire, but helped us with diesel fuel for our drive back to El Calafate, Argentina. To top it all off, at 5:00am the morning of our departure we were met with "breakfast to go" and hot coffee/tea for the long drive.
I cant say enough about Explora, the team and the exceptional experience we had.
