“WOW, travel doesn’t get any better!”

“When we collected our luggage and exited the bag pick up area we could clearly see the explora desk. Automatically greeted by the helpful and friendly staff who took our bags and provided us with an explora book and map to look at on our drive into the park. Once they loaded our luggage (for the two of us we had 4 bags because we were previously in Peru;) we were given cute metal explora water bottles to drink on the ride and as souvenirs. The drive itself is an exploration or an initial greeting of the Patagonia landscape and animals such as; sheep, eagles, and even an entire herd of cows blocking the road. Every turn closer to the hotel new majestic snow covered mountains appeared. As you twist and turn along the rugged rocky road you are met with herds of cattle, and Gouchos with their horses and dogs. When we finally seen the hotel from afar, the architecture seemed to blend in with the mountain. Something like the building was organic to the area. Met at arrival by the manager and an explora guide our journey was about to begin. Check in was simple and quick. We automatically started planning our afternoon trek with one of the guides. Given about an hour to grab our gear we were out the door and excited to explore this untamed land. Our room was something out of a picture book! The first hike was the Mirador Condor (Condor lookout). Some steep inclines but very present with beautiful views! Our guide Negra was cheerful and knowledgeable. Unknowingly, we would have the pleasure of taking three more hikes with her. Food and wine selections were amazing, and I consider myself a foodie. All of the staff went above and beyond to make this one of the most memorable trips of my life.” Andrea R.

“Great explorations in the Sacred Valley”

“The explora was absolutely wonderful. The accommodations were lovely with the clean lines (internal and external) of the explora in Patagonia. The staff (from the waiters to the guides and drivers) is extremely helpful. We are hikers, and the available hikes offered a great variety of duration, altitude, terrain and overall difficulty. The guides were very knowledgeable and had very good English. The staff is very careful to manage the altitude of the hikes, with altitude increasing as guests have acclimated. Food was very good, the wine list was quite adequate and the pisco sours were great fun. If you like exploring the outdoors, it is hard to beat the combination of luxurious accommodation, good food and drink and active hiking that the explora offers.” August M.

explora Rapa Nui

“Amazing service, ocean views, and food!”

explora Rapa Nui provides the best all-inclusive experience on the island with highly trained, knowledgeable guides, delicious gourmet food, amazingly fun and friendly staff, and beautiful ocean-view rooms. The hotel is located away from town, near the southern coast of the island. The location is very quiet and tranquil. The rooms include comfortable beds and amazing large bath tubs. The hotel also provides fun activities such as umu (earthen oven) ceremonies with traditional music and dance (and delicious food). Also in the low season, explora hosts an educational outreach program for local high school kids, which adds the sustainability mission of the hotel.” Kelsey J.

“First Class experience, we loved our four day stay”

“We (my wife and I) stayed at explora Atacama for four days. It was a wonderful experience and we highly recommend this hotel. We were part of a group of 11 and we did things both as a couple and with the entire group. Everything was first class, the best part being the activities that are scheduled a day in advance. We especially liked the biking and hiking and their guides are excellent – knowledgeable, friendly, supportive. over our stay we were able to see a lot of different geography and settings. Our colleagues took advantage of the horseback riding and they loved it as well. The food was very good, and facilities are comfortable in a beautiful setting. The high ratings in the reviews are accurate and consistent with our terrific stay. great setting and outstanding staff.” Robert B
