In the latest edition of the “Reader’s Travel Awards” our destination was chosen as one of the 20 best traveling experiences in the world. These awards acknowledge the best tourism has to offer, according to the votes of thousands of travel fans: the readers of the Condé Nast Traveller magazine.
What makes an experience unforgettable? Which experiences touched your heart? Has a destination changed your life? These were the questions behind the voting whereby each traveler picks his/her favorite destinations, hotels, spas, airports, airlines, villa rental companies, tour operators or cruise ships. After the voting, the magazine develops a scoring system taking into account readers’ preferences and criteria such as service, design and value for money. The results?
explora Patagonia is one of the best travel experiences in the world and the only South American destination ranked among the top 20.
Our destination was designed as the perfect headquarter from where to go out and explore the Torres del Paine National Park. The hotel’s location allows guests to visit the park avoiding long car trips and its prize-winning architecture gives them a cozy welcome after a day of explorations.
All our programs include accommodations, transfers to/from the airport in a preset schedule, meals and beverages, and a selection of more than 40 exploration routes created by our outdoors team.
Hikes and horseback rides include mountains, crystal-water lakes, lenga-tree forests, viewpoints, pampas and rivers, in addition to the most popular spans of the mythic W. The tours have different lengths and difficulty levels, with almost endless options. The rides rely on horses specifically raised for the climate and geography of Patagonia, which are found in explora stables only 15 minutes away from the hotel.
The BBQ (quincho) is a typical Patagonia experience that our guests can enjoy from September to April, depending on weather conditions. Here, gauchos prepare a lamb on a spit in a privileged location with panoramic views to the Paine Towers.
And if this wasn’t enough, explora Patagonia has its own catamaran, which is used to cross Lake Pehoé to Grey Glacier and the Francés Valley.
These and other things make explora Patagonia a top destination! You’re invited to come and see for yourself!
