The dates of the Rio Carinival for 2020 goes from February 21st to February 26th, and for Tapati Carnival from February 1st to February 15th, so Holidays’ rates and special conditions apply. These dates require a minimum stay of 4 nights at explora Atacama and explora Rapa Nui, respectively.
Hiring third-party services –including the train to Machu Picchu or tickets to the citadel, among others– modifies explora Valle Sagrado change and cancellation policies regarding other destinations.
Consequently, if explora has hired third-party services (trains to Machu Picchu, etc.) when the reservation is canceled, US$350 for every person and US$300 for every child under 11 years old will be discounted from the total refund.
General fines mentioned above apply to the remaining change and cancellation policies.
No fines for the Machu Picchu exploration will be charged if changes to the reservation date are made with at least 60 days in advance to hotel arrival date.
Changes to the reservation date made with 60 or fewer days before check-in result in charges amounting to US$350 for every adult and US$300 for every child under 11 years old. These charges are for transportation and entrance tickets to Machu Picchu. Tickets are personal and non-transferable and are purchased to secure entrance once the reservation has been confirmed.
The new date will be scheduled based on availability.
**Regardless of the terms established by explora, if at the moment of changing the reservation date or canceling the reservation, explora has not hired third-party services yet, no fines related to this exploration will be charged.
When booking at explora Valle Sagrado with 50 days or less in advance, the Machu Picchu exploration is subject to train and entrance ticket availability. If no tickets are available, explora will return the values for this exploration.
** For reservations made with 30 days or less in advance during the low season, exploration to Machu Picchu is subject to availability.
Two-night programs at explora Valle Sagrado do not accept hiring the exploration to Machu Picchu.
No pets are allowed in our destinations since our facilities lack the comfort they require.
Free wifi access in common areas. Rooms have no access to the Internet as they are designed to ensure complete rest.
Children and teens rates are valid for room types with the lowest rates. Maximum of two children per adult allowed.
If paying with a credit card, in case of reimbursement, we will retain 3% of the amount to be reimbursed. If paying with a wire transfer, in case of a reimbursement we will retain a US$25 wire transfer fee.
explora S.A. is not responsible for and will not provide any refund for portions of travel services missed due to canceled or delayed flights, third-party transportation services and any other circumstances beyond explora’s control or responsibility that may be considered events of “force majeure.” This includes, but is not limited to, cancellations and/or delays as a result of weather conditions, road conditions, fires, explosions, earthquakes, drought, tidal waves, floods and general strikes.
Like individuals’ reservations, group reservations are pre-paid. In these cases. We request a 50% deposit to confirm bookings and the remaining balance must be paid 120 days before the group’s arrival at explora.
*explora defines a group as any number equal or greater than 15 travelers in the same reservation.
