Important information regarding the coronavirus COVID-19 situation

At explora, we are doing everything we can to ensure your travel safety and provide maximum flexibility. According to these main guidelines, we want to keep you updated on the current situation of the coronavirus and the effort that governments are doing to contain it, in the countries where our hotels are located.

The Peruvian Government has implemented a total closure of its borders for 14 days as of March 16th, preventing travelers from entering the country. The Chilean government is implementing a similar measure as of March 18th.

Due to these new announcements, we won’t be able to receive travelers during this period of time. We remain committed to offering you flexible booking options and providing our travelers with assistance to help them go through these uncertain times.

Given these unique circumstances we are making additional adjustments to our individual booking policies, according to the following:

  • For reservations made before March 9th, we are offering our travelers the possibility to reschedule their reservation in the 18 months after the original date of the reservation (except for the period December 20th2020 – 2nd January 2021, where the published rate will apply).
  • For reservations made after March 9th, for the period between March 9th and November 1st 2020, we are charging only 10% of the rate as a reservation fee and offering travelers the possibility to change dates without fines up to 7 days before arrival.
