Leaving from Chile or from Argentina, this travesía allows for exploring the geography and untouched nature of El Chaltén, located in the Los Glaciers National Park. Passing pampas, forests, rivers, glaciers and mountain formations, it’s possible to take in the diversity of endemic flora and fauna, composed of 500 animal species and thousands of species of plants.
On the Argentine side, the travesía is centered in El Chaltén, located in Los Glaciares National Park. Surrounded by grand mountain peaks and glaciers, this region boasts 100 species of birds, numerous mammals, some of which are endemic, and an exuberant virgin natural landscape made up of trees, shrubs, flowers and moss.
On the Chilean side, the travesía is centered in Torres del Paine National Park.

Declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 1978, the park is characterized by singular geologic formations and a diversity of landscapes that provide a home to more than 100 species of birds, 25 species of mammals, and 2,500 species of plants.
