Commitment to the environment

Our environmental policy arose from our desire to minimize the impact of our operations on the areas where we are based; from our tours to Patagonia to our adventure travel in Rapa Nui. From this starting point, we have made a commitment to responsible environmental management to ensure that the use we make of natural resources is sustainable and that we effectively manage the waste we generate.

Our commitment is subject to a process of continuous improvement and includes:

  • Meeting and exceeding the current environmental regulations for the region
  • Raising awareness and educating staff about how to reduce or eliminate the impact of their activities
  • Revising our objectives on a periodic basis, taking new measures and monitoring progress.

The objectives of our environmental policy are:

  • To reduce the waste we generate and implement new ways of recycling and reusing
  • To use energy efficiently
  • To use water efficiently
  • To use new sources of non-conventional renewable energy (NCRE) across all our operations
  • To obtain LEED certification for existing and new projects
  • To develop joint projects with local communities to benefit the natural environment
