An intrepid traveller and philanthropist himself, 64-year old Pedro Ibáñez first founded explora in 1989 with the opening of Hotel Salto Chico in Torres del Paine Patagonia. Nearly twenty years later, Ibáñez has built an international reputation for pioneering experiential travel to South America’s most remote and unspoilt areas.
