From Chile
Upon arrival at the airport in Santiago, Chile, you must take a connecting flight to the city of Punta Arenas, which takes around four hours. Our staff will be there to meet you and take you to Hotel Salto Chico, a trip of about four hours and 30 minutes.

From Argentina
On arrival at the airport in Buenos Aires, Argentina, you must take a connecting flight to El Calafate, which takes four to five hours. There our staff will meet you and take you on the journey of 220 kilometers (137 miles) to El Chaltén, which takes three hours.
We recommend that you arrive at El Calafate by 5 p.m. in order to be able to enjoy dinner and plan your next day's exploration.

1. What kind of emergency medical services are there?
All of our guides have Wilderness First Responder (WFR) certification, which guarantees that they have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide assistance to people in remote areas. We travel with a complete medical kit.
There is a medical clinic in the town of Chaltén. For more serious cases, there is a full medical center in Calafate, two hours from El Chaltén.

3. What is included in the program?
Daily explorations of varying interests and lengths at explora Patagonia, accompanied by bilingual guides. Daily explorations in El Chaltén.
Full room and board, three meals a day from a varied menu and bar. Transfers between the airport and the beginning and end points of the travesía.
4. How many people go along on the travesía?
The groups are made up of a maximum of six travelers, accompanied by one of our expert guides and explora personnel.
5. What documents do I need to bring?

6. How long will I spend in the minibus during the travesía?
No more than three consecutive hours.
7. What kind of vehicles do we travel in during the travesía?
A spacious, comfortable minibus, adapted for the journey.
8. What kind of communication and navigational equipment do you use?
Every vehicle carries an emergency satellite telephone, as well as GPS, a compass and maps.
9. How much space is there for baggage?
As space is limited, we ask you to please bring only what is necessary.
10. Is it possible to travel to Torres del Paine by plane from Punta Arenas or Puerto Natales?
No. The nearest commercial airport is at Punta Arenas. However, there are private flights from Punta Arenas to the airport at Puerto Natales and explora can organize transport from there to our lodge.
11. Is it possible to charge electric devices?
Yes, provided that you bring a charger.
