| Back in 1993 explora was born from the dream of creating a relationship between South America, its people, and the rest of the planet. For more than ten years, explora has offered programs to travel in this faraway land: the first, in Patagonia, in Torres del Paine National Park, with the Hotel Salto Chico (explora en Patagonia). The other, since 1998, at the oasis of San Pedro de Atacama and the Hotel de Larache (explora en Atacama). After years of sharing our passion for exploration with travelers from the six continents, explora has become a world-renowned concept. explora is lauded and promoted by industry leaders and specialized media as one of the most notable destinations in the world for life in the outdoors. |
In 2005, explora took the step of proposing travesías explora, which allows travelers to visit and explore other destinations in South America. These new destinations in Argentina, Bolivia and Easter Island complement traditional programs, and deepen the travel experience in this one-of-a-kind region in the world. Today, explora just openned its third Lodge:explora en Rapa Nui – Posada de Mike Rapu - in the mysterious Easter Island where land, sea and skies are on a grandiose scale and seemingly merge into one. |
