explora El Chaltén

Whether departing from Chile or from Argentina, on this travesía we will explore the untouched geography and nature of the Patagonia. Traveling across its plains, forests, rivers, glaciers and mountainous formations, we will experience the diversity and uniqueness of the flora and fauna, which includes close to 500 animal species and thousands of plant species.

On the Argentine side, the travesía will be based at El Chaltén, in Los Glaciares National Park.

At the beginning of the travesía from Chile (or at the end if starting in Argentina) we will stay for a few nights in our Hotel Salto Chico, right in the heart of the Torres del Paine National Park.

On the Argentine side of Patagonia, we will stay at El Puma lodge, in the town of Chaltén, at the foot of the Torre and Fitz Roy mountains. The lodge has all the necessary amenities for relaxing after a day of exploration: comfortable rooms with private bathrooms, central heating and a welcoming living room where you can enjoy good conversation and wine by the warmth of the fireplace.

All of our meals are delicious, healthy and well-balanced, perfect for facing the physical exertion of the travesía. The dishes are inspired by our concept of luxury of the essential. We seek to enhance the original flavors of selected ingredients, avoiding excess and alteration.

Some of the ingredients and recipes that we use in our cuisine are traditional to the Patagonian culture.

To accompany our meals, you will be able to choose from a wide variety of Chilean wines at the Hotel Salto Chico, and Argentine wines at El Puma lodge.
